On December 14, 2024, DFE successfully passed the evaluation of 12 technological achievements at the technology achievement appraisal meeting organized by the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE). Among them, eight achievements reached an overall international leading level; two achievements reached an overall international advanced level, with key technologies at the international leading level; and two achievements reached an overall international advanced level.
The appraisal meeting was attended by six academicians—Lei Qingquan, Yu Yixin, Cheng Shijie, Luo An, Rao Hong, and Yao Liangzhong—along with over 50 industry experts from academic societies, associations, universities, research institutes, power grid companies, and national experimental platforms. They jointly conducted an authoritative assessment of DFE' independent innovations in fields such as power transmission and transformation, distribution, new energy and energy storage, integrated energy, and virtual power plants, empowering the construction of new power systems and new energy frameworks. Yu Shengtao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, Fang Zhengji, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of DFE, and Li Wufeng,Director of the Consulting Department of CSEE, delivered speeches at the conference.

In his speech, Yu Shengtao stated that Yantai, as the first prefecture-level city in northern China to reach a GDP of RMB 1 trillion, the core city leading the transformation of old and new driving forces in Shandong, and a pilot area for green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, has successfully been approved as a national low-carbon city pilot and a provincial smart low-carbon city pilot. Yantai has fully established a new energy system with coordinated development of "nuclear, wind, solar, hydrogen, storage, and LNG," achieving the "five firsts." DFE plays an important role in the construction of smart cities, digital power, and green low-carbon development in Yantai. He expressed the hope that in the future, CSEE and its member units could engage in sincere, pragmatic, and mutually beneficial cooperation with more Yantai-based enterprises, including DFE, in broader fields and at higher levels, sharing development opportunities and jointly creating a beautiful China.

In his speech, Fang Zhengji stated that CSEE has facilitated the exchange and cooperation of power technology both domestically and internationally, promoted the formulation and implementation of industry standards, and laid a solid foundation for the sustainable development of China's power industry. DFE has been dedicated to the power and energy sector for over 40 years, gradually developing into a high-tech enterprise group with a complete industrial chain in the domestic power and energy industry. In the future, the company will focus on the industry's demand for green and low-carbon transformation and industrial upgrading. Relying on innovation platforms such as the New-Type Power System Innovation Alliance, it will promote the transformation of technologies, products, services, and management towards digitalization, intelligence, and high-end development, contributing to the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of China's power and energy industry.

Li Wufeng announced the list of the chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, and members of each assessment committee, and stated that CSEE leverages its abundant intellectual resources and academic and technical authority within the industry to actively carry out technical evaluations of power technology projects and outstanding scientific achievements. DFE adheres to the principle of leading industrial development through technological innovation, continuously making breakthroughs in areas such as fundamental prospective research and the tackling of key core technologies. The company has achieved numerous high-level scientific and technological results with complete independent intellectual property rights. This assessment meeting is an important initiative by CSEE to further leverage its platform role in gathering technological innovation efforts, supporting the development of first-class enterprises, and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

During the conference, DFE showcased its development history, core products, solutions, and typical achievements in areas such as dispatching and cloud computing, intelligent transmission and transformation, intelligent distribution and utilization of electricity, integrated energy and virtual power plants, as well as new energy and energy storage.
DFE has always regarded technological innovation as the primary driver of productivity, continuously increasing investment in scientific research and development. In recent years, its R&D investment has accounted for more than 9% of revenue, with R&D personnel making up over 30% of the total workforce.
